See below from Jess with information on our upcoming Nutrition Challenge!

Hey guys, as we enter the holiday season, I’m hearing many of you talk at the gym about how badly you are feeling because of the traditional food, drinks, lack of sleep and stress that come along with this time of year. Please try to remember the true meaning of the holidays and keep in mind that they do not have to be centered on sugar, alcohol and overindulging. Keep up your CrossFit or ēvoFIT routine and moderate your sweets and alcohol and you will go into the New Year feeling as if you don’t have to start from scratch on your health and fitness journey.

In January we will be kicking off our annual Paleo Challenge along with a Ketogenic Diet option as well. The Paleo Diet is a whole foods diet that is low in sugar and eliminates grains and dairy products. The Ketogenic Diet is a whole foods diet that is high in fat and very low in carbohydrates. We have seen a great deal of success with many athletes on both of these diets, so it really comes down to personal preference on which path you chose. Whether you have done a Paleo challenge with us in the past or you are new to the whole concept, we encourage you to join in on one of the challenges and make the commitment to your health in the new year.

So if you are thinking about joining the Paleo challenge, please start mentally preparing yourself now for six weeks of eliminating dairy, grains, added sugar and processed foods from your diet. And if you are thinking about joining the Keto challenge, please start mentally preparing yourself now for the elimination of grains, fruit, and all sugar from your diet. Six weeks is really such a short period of time in the grand scheme of things. You owe it to yourself and your family to make this commitment and focus on your health!

If your goal is to lose body fat, either of these diets is the answer.
If you goal is to gain lean muscle mass, either of these diets is the answer.
If your goal is to prevent diabetes and heart disease, either of these diets is the answer.
If your goal is to improve your performance in the gym, either of these diets is the answer.
If your goal is to have more energy and stop craving junk food, either of these diets is the answer!

Our Information Seminar will be:
Thurs. Jan. 4th at 6:30pm and this will also be posted to YouTube.
The seminar (either live or viewed on YouTube) is a great refresher for any of you who have participated in previous challenges and is mandatory for anyone who hasn’t done a challenge with us yet. Jess will provide the ins and outs of both diets to help you decide which is best for you.

We also have the addition of the InBody body composition analyzer this year to show you concrete results and help keep you accountable.
