Hey guys, we wanted to put some more information out about the upcoming Family Day on the 29th of October. We are pumped to get everyone together from both our CrossFit Community as well as our Bootcamp Community. This is a great opportunity to come spend a few hours for a great cause and some great food. Here are some of the things that we will be doing during Family Day:

3on3 Basketball Tournament (Start Time Depends On # Of Teams)
This will be the 1st annual tournament to crown the champs of Vitality. The teams can be co-ed and mixed and matched however you would like. The plan is for you all to provide your team members and team name to Steve and he will build the bracket for the tournament. The start time will be determined by the number of teams entered into the tournament. Should be a great time! Get your team and get signed up!

Barbells for Boobs

Barbells For Boobs (5P)
This will be the 5th year we have supported this fundraiser and it is for an awesome cause. The workout will be:
“Grace”
30 Clean and Jerks (135/95)
*This can be scaled for all fitness levels. We will be running two large heats so there isn’t any excuse why you shouldn’t come in and throwdown for this awesome charity!

CrossFit Kids Halloween WOD (630P)
We did this last year and the kids had a blast! We will split them up into groups and take them through some different stations that will allow them to get a workout but more importantly, have fun in their costumes. All ages are welcome, but for children < 5, one parent will need to rotate through the stations with them.

Trunk or Treat (7P)
Following the Kids Workout, we will have vehicles set up back on the gravel area behind Vitality and members will be handing out healthy treats/toys to the children taking part in the Trunk or Treat. We would love for members to bring their vehicle, decorate their trunks and be a part of making this night fun for all the kids. We had a great turnout last year and the kids had a blast. If you have kids that will be participating in the trunk or treat, please bring HEALTHY treats (no candy or junk food please), fruit, or small toys to pass out to the trick or treaters.  Jess will post the total number of kids who have RSVP’d by the 24th so you know how many items to bring.

BBQ Dinner (5:30P)
There are some rumors that the King of BBQ himself, Ryan Horn, will be providing BBQ for the event….there may even be a few others that take part, either way, these guys can work miracles on that smoker so make sure you don’t miss out on the food. This will be served after the Barbells For Boobs workout and before the Kids Halloween WOD.
